The cPrime Story We, the founders of cPrime, share the same passion, Project Management Excellence. With our many years of proven Project Management success, we have taken steps to ensure unparalleled expertise in the field of IT Project Management. Our proficiency in this field comes not only from the experience of managing critical projects, but from our thirst for knowledge and understanding within the classroom as well as within the Project Management community. We have extensively experienced and studied Project Management and with that knowledge has come an understanding of the power and necessity of accomplished Project Managers.
Over the years, it became evident to us that Project Management, specifically within the technology field, was still very young and a maturing profession. As a result of this undeveloped field, we would oftentimes come across Project Managers who lacked the education, experience and passion required to complete successful projects. Worse yet, we frequently came across the “accidental project manager,” the poor engineer who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and without any formal training, experience or mentorship was asked to manage a project. As a result, we saw failed projects, conflicting results, inconsistent deliverables and generally an all around rocky road.
Along with many of the large consulting firms, body shops, etc., we knew that successful Project Management was a vital business advantage; we knew that we wanted to focus our efforts on the goal of completing successful projects. We’ve made it our mission to find the “best of the best” in Project Managers and have worked to bring those experts to our clients. We, at cPrime, are exceptional at one thing…. Project Management.
What’s in a Name? cPrime We cannot tell you how many times we have been asked about the cPrime name. “cPrime”, what does this mean? Where did it come from? So, here’s the story.
In mathematics the symbol “!” represents the factorial operation. The expression c! means “the product of the integers from 1 to c”. For example, 3! (read three factorial) is 3 x 2 x 1 = 6. “!” or “’” can also be referred to as “PRIME”.
You got that? Let’s do a quick recap. C! or cPrime is used to describe the three founders and the fact that the sum of their parts (C*3 = 3) is less than the sum of their whole (C! = 3 x 2 x 1 or 6).
The Result? The idea is that our knowledge, our resolve and our value to clients and consultants is much greater together than it is when we are apart. |
