So why do we have a Global Responsibility program at cPrime?  Simply, we wanted a program to create awareness and have an immediate, lasting and positive impact on our environment and within our community.  We hope to provide inspiration and leadership to every member of our team, our clients, our vendors and community to be a catalyst for change.  Since talk is cheap, here’s what we are doing to support our program objectives.

Our Global Responsibility program is broken into two major components which will be discussed in greater detail below; 1) cGreen – which demonstrates how we will minimize our environmental footprint while doing business and 2) cBlue – which outlines our approach for societal and communal donation and support.

  1. Become a Completely Sustainable Corporation by end of FY’2008. Defined by measuring our environmental footprint, reducing carbon emissions where we can, then finally purchasing Carbon Offsets from TerraPass for our remaining CO2 emissions.
  2. Measure our Reduction Efforts (pre carbon offset) and Publicly Report the Data in terms of CO2 emissions per Employee. Defined by total internal operations CO2 emissions averaged over the number of cPrime employees. Our goal is to steadily watch this average continue to drop over time, as we persist in finding creative ways to reduce our CO2 emissions.
  3. Provide our Clients the Option of Purchasing our Existing Service Offerings on a Carbon Neutral basis by the end of FY’2008. Defined by measuring client engagements in terms of CO2 footprint metric tons, suggesting ways to reduce that footprint and then purchasing Carbon Offsets from TerraPass for the remaining amount.
  4. Donate 200 hours of Pro Bono & Community Service to our chosen Community Programs in FY’2009. Since cPrime is growing rapidly, we will adjust this number appropriately.
