Job Description

• Runs complex projects/programs from design and development to production.
• Defines requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
• Defines resources and schedule for project/program implementation.
• Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
• Plans and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones.
• Directs and oversees project engineering team and manages conflicts within group.
• Performs team assessments and evaluations.
• Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.
• Demonstrates leadership to define requirements for project risk.
• Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services.
• Designs and maintain technical and project documentation.

Requirements

• Manages larger Information Technology projects, which include applications, infrastructure, systems, storage, networks, and security technologies from the design phase through development, testing, readiness, and stabilization phases. May have matrix reporting responsibilities.
• Business Applications and Application Development oversight
• Participates in functional and technical Operational Decision Team meetings and is responsible for project estimation, planning, technical designs, and the project delivery schedule.
• Must fully understand how to use and ensure data is accurately maintained in IT Project Management Tools (Portfolio Management, Project Management, Budget Management) and be fully proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, XLS).
• Must understand how to negotiate resource constraints, and critical path contention issues across multiple projects.
• Develops and maintains project and resource plans, maintains quality and focus, monitors and controls project expenditures against approved budget and successfully manages end to end solution delivery process for one or more larger scale IT projects or oversees multiple small to large sized projects with minimal direction.
• Day to day resource management of project team ensuring effective delivery of projects tasks, deliverables, and milestones on time, on budget, and within specification and or agreed upon project scope.
• Organizes and delivers project related communications as determined during project governance formation. Responsible for ensuring all project stakeholders based on the level of interest and authority are well informed of project progress and decisions.
• Has the ability to influence decision makers to steer technical decisions and designs on the project. Communicates delivery status, issue management and resolution.

Educational Requirements

• Requires a BA or BS in a relevant field (business, computer science, engineering, etc.) or equivalent functional expertise.
• PMP® training or equivalent.
• CSM training or equivalent.
