This course covers Program Management as a profession and discipline, explaining what a Program is (and isn't) and what a Program Manager does. The course will examine the role of Program Management within the overall execution of strategy within an organization, the relationship of Program Management to Portfolio and Project Management.
Students will learn about the softer side of Program Management and what it takes to be an effective Program Manager. During the course, students will compare and contrast Program Management methodologies from the Project Management Institute and other organizations, and participate in workshops that provide practical exposure to tools and templates for the Program Manager.
