The PMI has recently announced that they will be offering a new Certification for Agile Project Managers. The certification will validate a PM’s experience and mastery of the agile principals and processes. An Agile certified practitioner will have the knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall practices and is able to lead teams on Agile projects. By holding this Agile Practitioner Certification, which is more credible than other agile certifications out there, a practitioner can verify their agile expertise to companies looking to adopt the agile methodology.

Why You Should Take the PMI ACP Exam Prep Course:
If you are already using the Agile methodology to manage your projects or are interested in attaining a more advanced certification in the Agile practices then this course is right for you. If you are new to Agile, we would recommend you start with the Certified Scrum Master Course. You do not have to be a project manager or PMP credential holder to take this course or apply to sit for the exam. The PMI ACP recognizes one’s knowledge of agile principles, practices, tools and techniques across agile methodologies.

Schedule & PDUs for the PMI ACP
From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Daily for the three days of the course.You will acquire 21 Agile PDUs (Professional Development Units) from this course. These Agile PDUs are required to take the PMI's ACP Exam.

- Download their PMI ACP printable application form
- Make sure you are qualified to sit for the exam ( See Below)
- Note:You do not have to be qualified to sit for the exam to take this course.
Prerequisites for the PMI ACP
To be eligible for the Agile certification, you must first meet the PMI® eligibility requirements, which can be found in the table below. cPrime Training Center will help you with the application process - contact us for more information. The fundamental objective of the course is to prepare students for the Agile Certification examination. All we ask from you is a 100% commitment to the training program.

2,000 hours working on project teams. Must have been earned in the last 5 years. |
Agile Project Management Experience |
1,500 hours working on Agile Project teams or in Agile methodologies. These hours are in addition to the 2,000 hours required in general project management experience. These hours must have been earned in the last 2 years. |
Agile Project Management Training |
21 contact hours; hours must be earned in Agile Project Management topics (This course takes care of this requirement) |

Kevin Thompson

Kevin Thompson, Ph.D., has a doctorate in Physics from Princeton University, and extensive background in managing software development projects. He specializes in training individuals, teams, and organizations in agile development. Dr. Thompson helps companies make the challenging transition to agile development by working with development teams and business stakeholders to identify their needs, define the right process for the business, determine the steps needed to implement the process, and work through the steps successfully.
Dr. Thompson has Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master (CSM), and Scrum Practitioner (CSP) certifications.
